1/4 Priston Tale Archer Girl
Paper Model Kit from 3DPaper.com

I found this kit while walking the show at the last RCHTA hobby industry trade show in Rosemont, IL in October of '04. The company with the booth was out of Germany. They had lots of different paper models. Being the girl crazy fellow I am, I had to have this one.

The model went together relatively quickly as the peices were die-cut. Without having to cut all 170+ pieces out, I was able to finish her in a few days. That included coloring all the edges so it all blended together.

It turns out she comes from an on-line role playing game. There are lots of archer girls in the game. They are a formidable opponent as they can hit from great distances and they rarely miss! I don't remember any girls like this when I was into archery back in the '70s!

I had never done anyting in paper in this scale. I had never done a figure in paper. The subtleties of assembly must have escaped me as she is definitely leaning back. I used some light wire for her bowstring. Her boots have magnets in the heels and a stainless steel plate has been added to the base. It holds her nicely but does not compensate for the erors in construction as she leans back. A great kit none the less and a most eye catching build up at almost 18" tall!.
